History
DAM Coolers was started in 2016 by students for a school project. Our goal was to use Vacuum Insulated Panels or V.I.Ps as the core insulation for a hard cooler. We built scrappy prototypes using 3D printers in our garage, & tested our prototypes against the big guys. They performed great so we made a business plan around this working concepts, and won the award “Most likely to start a business”. We did just that!
DAM Coolers V.I.P cooler was the first and is still the only hard cooler made that way sold in the US.
Using V.I.P technology we have a leaner, lighter, higher performing cooler that is greener to make.
In order to get the company off the ground we Crowdfunded it and raised money from 100s of backers. Since 2020, we have ran multiple Indiegogo and Kickstarter campaigns successfully. We have used these platforms to successfully bring our products to the US market. Over 1500 Backers and customers have helped us to achieve this.
Today, we have a robust starting line up of gear built around the DAM brand. we have our V.I.P Hard Coolers, High Utility Soft-sided Coolers and Unique Backpack coolers. We also have more products coming soon such as drinkware and lunch bags.

Our Backpacks are also made out of RPet, Recycled Polyethelyne Terepthalate – Or recycled PET bottle material. Each 3 lb bag is made up of the equivalent of 45 to 55 plastic bottle material.
